Officers and committee

Phil has previously been club Chairman and Treasurer, but now acts as the Club's ambassador. He will not normally participate in the day-to-day management of the Club, but does provide advice and guidance to the committee, when required.

Marc has been a member since he was 18 years old, and has been coming to the club since he was weeks old. He has previoulsy been Vice-Chairman, before taking up the position of Chairman when elected in December 2023. Marc has overall responsibility for the conduct of Club affairs as directed by the committee.

Alan has previously been club Chairman and Treasurer, but now acts as Marc's deputy, chairing committee meetings, when required, and overseeing new members and the final part of their application process.

After 34 years at HSBC, Martin has extensive financial and business experience. He served as a Corporate Relationship Director, offering valuable advice and guidance to businesses. Martin is responsible for overseeing club financial matters, and reporting to the Chairman and the committee.

Rob has been a member since he was 18 years old and has been coming to the club since he was in nappies. Rob has extensive experience within the IT and technology sector, having held several senior positions in blue chip and private companies. He plays an important role implementing technology improvements to our club.

Bobby leads the sports and entertainment team, organising sporting events throughout the year and ensuring there is entertainment every Saturday night, usually held in the games bar.  Bobby is our regular Karaoke and Saturday night entertainment host.

Claire co-leads the entertainment team with Bobby and  seeks performers who align with our vision and who we think will appeal to our members. Whether solo acts or bands, she collaborates with Bobby to ensure a full event calendar.

Alan is the Chairman of the Greenhithe & Swanscombe Royal British Legion (RBL) branch which supports the Armed Forces community, promotes remembrance, and organises social activities. Suffice to say, that without the Branch we wouldn't have a social club, and vice versa.

George has served on the committee for a number of years and has been a pillar of the local community for many more. Most recently, George has taken on the duty of standard-bearer, and he is responsible for carrying our branches flag at our annual ceremonies. 

Denise supports the branch committee and is involved in the annual rememberance services and the Sunday meat raffle. Always friendly and approachable, so please feel free to approach her to buy those meat raffle tickets.

Steve is the newest member of our committtee, although he has been a member for over 20 years. He has grown up in the local area and is known to many in the  community. Steve is a great addition, and he will also join the entertainment team.
